In the Beginning - My Grandma's Closet

I have always loved clothes. I remember stumbling on the hidden treasure of my grandmother's attic closet when I was 13, and it was one of the best days of my life. I spent hours combing through polyester pant suits, 60s printed mini skirts, bell bottoms and vintage tees. I had never had so much fun in my life.  Fast forward to high school and college - where I loved planning outfits and frequently doled out the contents of my closet to friends. Instead of going to the movies on the weekends, I usually took my $20 and went to the mall to buy a new top (on sale of course). I guess you could say I had a knack and passion for shopping and putting looks together from a young age.  What I realize now is that clothes are a creative outlet for me - and they make me happy. Feeling good (or bad) about an outfit can make or break my entire day. Clothes are certainly not THE most important thing in life, but feeling good about the way you look IS a huge part of being confident
